Group or 1:1. Pick the best fit for you!

I'm so excited you're considering the Beautiful Breastfeeding Program! Here are more details about the course and options.

The Program: The Beautiful Breastfeeding Program is a specially prepared video series by Dr Robyn Thompson designed to prepare you for your birth and breastfeeding journey. You'll be guided through the material with your coach, Margaret, to learn all you need to know for those early newborn days and weeks. We'll discuss creating a birth and breastfeeding plan that helps protect your precious time with your new baby. You'll learn how to establish your milk supply and avoid pain during the first breastfeed and the first 72-96 hours while your milk is coming in and peaking. Then we'll go over regulating your supply to avoid mastitis and sustain your milk volume for as long as you choose to breastfeed, so that you can avoid formula if that's what you want! We'll also cover some troubleshooting and what to do if things don't go according to your plan. I'll go through the videos with you to help clarify the information as well as answer any questions you may have along the way.

Partners: You are welcome and encouraged to bring a support partner with you to the sessions. Having someone by your side that knows your wishes during labor, birth, and the early days of breastfeeding can make a meaningful difference. A trusted advocate helps protect your time and space, allowing you to focus on bonding with your baby while they support your breastfeeding journey from the very beginning. This could be your spouse, partner, mother, sister, friend, etc.

People: Joining a group class gives you the opportunity to hear more discussions about the content, and other women may ask questions that you wouldn't have thought to ask. The feel in a group class is really special where you get to hear and see others with similar stories and struggles. On the other hand, a private 1:1 class focuses all the attention on you and your needs. You'll be able to share your story and shape your own unique birth plan with suggestions specific to your situation.

Prepare: Classes are held online via Zoom. To ensure that you get the most out of the sessions, please make sure you have a good internet connection. Have a notebook, pen, snacks and water bottle at hand. If you have other children and you feel like they will take your time and attention away from the class, then you may want to plan on a babysitter.
